Intelligent Deal Detection · HubSpot and Salesforce

Steve detects what's on every deal.

The competitor, the calls and the close, detected on your HubSpot and Salesforce deals.

What is Intelligent Deal Detection?

Intelligent Deal Detection is how Steve, an AI competitive intelligence platform, works inside HubSpot and Salesforce. It suggests the competitor on each new deal, matches recorded calls to the deal, writes battle-card links onto the record and invites the buyer to a win/loss interview when the deal closes.

One deal, Platform rollout: the call matched, Acme on the HubSpot record, the battle card in the rep's /prep.

What Steve watches → what you get

Your CRM holds the record. Steve detects what happens on it.

Steve reads the CRM and the calls. The competitor is written onto the deal.

How it works

Connected in one click.

  1. 01

    Connect in one click

OAuth from Settings. HubSpot, Salesforce, or both.

  2. 02

    Map six fields once

Steve creates its own 8 fields for you.

  3. 03

    Steve detects and writes back

Every night, and on demand, onto the record.

Deals come in from HubSpot or Salesforce. Steve's fields are written back.

Detection 01 · The competitor

Mark the deal. The battle card follows.

Steve suggests the competitor. You approve in one click.

  • An AI suggestion on every new deal
  • Battle-card link on the HubSpot deal or Salesforce opportunity
  • The card in the rep's Slack before the call

Steve spots Acme on the deal. The battle card lands in the rep's Slack.

Detection 02 · The calls

Every call on the right deal.

Matched by participant email. No rep logs a call.

  • Gong, Zoom, Avoma, Grain, Fireflies, Outreach, Google Drive
  • Linked on the HubSpot deal or Salesforce opportunity
  • On HubSpot, the call joins the deal timeline

Calls from seven recorders land on the one deal they belong to.

Detection 03 · The close

The buyer tells you why.

Closed in HubSpot or Salesforce? Steve invites the buyer to an AI interview.

  • Sent after the delay you choose
  • Up to three reminders, on days 3, 7 and 12
  • It already knows which competitor they evaluated

The deal moves to Closed lost. Steve invites the buyer to the interview.

Frequently asked questions

What is Intelligent Deal Detection?

Intelligent Deal Detection is how Steve, an AI competitive intelligence platform, works inside HubSpot and Salesforce. It suggests the competitor on each new deal, matches recorded calls to the deal, writes battle-card links onto the record and invites the buyer to a win/loss interview when the deal closes.

Which CRMs does Steve support?

HubSpot and Salesforce. You can connect both to one Steve workspace, and every capability on this page works on both.

How long does setup take?

Connect with OAuth, then map six fields once. Steve creates its own fields in your CRM for you, so no admin project is needed.

Does Steve write to my CRM?

Only to its own fields and the fields you map: connected calls, battle-card links, competitor, Steve project, loss and win reason, channels and usage. On HubSpot it also adds a note and a call to the deal timeline.

How fresh is the data?

Deals sync every night and whenever you click Sync. Calls are matched to deals as each recording is imported.

How does Steve know which competitor a deal is against?

Steve suggests it, and you approve. Every new deal gets an AI suggestion for its competitor and Steve project; approve in one click, one at a time or in bulk.

Where does the battle card reach the rep?

On the record and in the rep's hands. The link is written to the HubSpot deal, with a note on the timeline, or to the Salesforce opportunity, and the rep's Slack or Zoom /prep brief names the expected competitor. Steve shows how often each deal's card was opened.

Which call recorders does Steve match to deals?

Gong, Avoma, Grain, Fireflies, Outreach, Zoom and Google Drive. Every recorded call Steve imports is matched to its deal by participant email and linked on the record. Gmail threads link to HubSpot deals too.

Does Steve use my CRM data to build battle cards?

No. Battle cards are built from calls, public sources and your uploads. Your CRM is where the card is delivered, on the deal.

Do win/loss interviews work with Salesforce?

Yes. When an opportunity moves to closed won or closed lost, Steve invites the buyer to an AI interview, exactly as it does for HubSpot deals, with up to three reminders at 3, 7 and 12 days.

What does Steve do with the win/loss interviews?

Steve summarizes the themes across interviews in one click, and you can read what each buyer said in their own words. Invitations go out after the delay you choose, with up to three reminders.

What can I ask about my pipeline?

Any question across up to 200 filtered deals and their call transcripts, such as which competitor shows up in late-stage losses. Every answer is cited back to the deals. You can also chat about one deal, or attach an RFP, pricing sheet or competitor deck and re-ask with your own prompt.

Which CRM objects does Steve sync?

HubSpot deals and companies, and Salesforce opportunities. Contacts are looked up to match calls and buyers, not stored.

Is my data safe?

Yes. OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, each workspace's deals are isolated, and Steve writes only to its own fields and the ones you map.

What happens if I disconnect?

Steve deletes its copy of your synced deals. Steve's fields stay in your CRM until you remove them.

Which plans include Intelligent Deal Detection?

Team plans. It is not part of Starter; request a demo to talk through a team plan.

Put the competitor, the calls and the card on the deal.
